70, passed on March 23, 2018. He was the husband of Dolores "Doly" Goncalves.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, Tony was a son of Luis "Lulu" Goncalves and Edelmira "Dada" Goncalves.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children: Otaniela Goncalves, Ezekiel Goncalves, Otaniel Goncalves, Edna Goncalves, Dilma Goncalves, Helio Goncalves, Nataniel Goncalves and Amanda DePina. He was pre-deceased by his loving daughter, Debora DaSilva. He also leaves his grandchildren: Jamian DoCouto, Leah DaSilva, Anthony DaSilva, Daviyen DaSilva, Ayden DaSilva, Mercedez, Jaydason, Jose, Ezekiel Jr, Kaishawn, Lexie, Janessa, Damien, Kathy, Nathayah, Stephanie and two great-grandchildren: His siblings, Jose "Djou", Margarida, Joao "Djone", Euclides "Tide", Maria "Djessa" Monteiro, Jaime, Edna Martins, Joaozinho "John" and Nataniel "Naty", Edgar Fontes and many nieces and nephews, he was the brother of the late Onezimo Almeida. Tony was a very Loved and well respected man!
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 30th at 10am at the Mount Hope Community Baptist Church, 734 Hope St., Providence. Burial will be graveside in Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Boulevard, Providence. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 29th from 5 - 8pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited.
